Alec Wilder was an American composer who embraced both the classical and jazz styles. He had close friends in both worlds and this helped shape his compositions. Tom Bacon never met Wilder but he did a lot of research to see exactly how Wilder wanted his works to sound. Bacon has been principal hornist with several orchestras and symphonies, and has also taught for many years. Our CD may be the closest interpretations of these excellent works yet. This CD will make a great learning tool for any horn player.
